Do men and women orgasm differently?
Males typically reach orgasm through penile stimulation while female orgasms are usually via the clitoris—the only human organ whose single known purpose is providing pleasure.
Although both genders race to orgasm with sensitive sex organs, men and women rarely run the same race. The penile path to orgasm is somewhat like an 800 meter sprint around an oval track—fast and efficient. While, women’s orgasmic journeys are more akin to a cold jog on a endless country road—slow and steady wins the race.
In terms of climactic time frames, men’s orgasms usually last around five seconds. Women’s orgasms on the other hand can last 10-15 seconds or more.
